Your data, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

Waiki uses only the data needed to run alarms, verify wake-up missions, and manage your access.

Last updated: August 9, 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Waiki (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the Waiki mobile application.

2. Information we process

  • Alarm and app data: alarm schedules, mission history, wake statistics, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
  • Anonymous account data: Waiki creates an anonymous account identifier. You do not need to provide a name or email address.
  • Usage and entitlement data: your monthly mission usage and subscription entitlement status are stored on our cloud backend.
  • Mission photos: when you submit a photo mission, the image is sent securely for AI-based verification.
  • Purchase information: Apple processes payments. Waiki receives subscription and entitlement status but does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

3. Camera and mission photos

Camera access is used only to capture photos for wake-up mission verification. Submitted photos are sent to our secure cloud backend and Google’s Gemini API solely to determine whether the mission was completed. Waiki processes these photos in memory, does not store them permanently, and discards them after verification.

4. Alarms and notifications

System alarm and notification permissions are used to deliver the alarms and reminders you request. Waiki does not use these permissions to send marketing notifications.

5. How we use information

We process information to schedule alarms, verify missions, maintain free-plan usage limits, provide subscription features, troubleshoot the service, protect against misuse, and improve reliability.

6. Services we rely on

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Functions) for anonymous identity and secure backend operations.
  • Google Gemini API for AI-based mission-photo verification.
  • RevenueCat for subscription and premium-entitlement management.
  • Apple for App Store purchases and system alarm delivery.

Waiki does not provide your name or email address to these services because the app does not ask you for them.

7. Retention, security, and your choices

Local information remains on your device until you remove it or reset the app’s data. Your anonymous identifier, usage counter, and entitlement status may remain on our backend as needed to operate the service. We use reasonable safeguards, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

You can revoke camera, alarm, or notification permissions in iOS Settings. In Waiki, choose Settings → Reset All Data to remove alarms, wake history, stats, and preferences stored locally. For questions about cloud data associated with your anonymous account, contact us.

8. Children’s privacy

Waiki is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Waiki evolves. The date above shows the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to julia.artvision@gmail.com.
