The ground rules

Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Waiki and its alarm, photo-mission, and subscription features.

Last updated: August 9, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Waiki, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Waiki does

Waiki is designed to help you wake up by scheduling alarms and asking you to complete photo missions. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on compatible Apple devices.

3. Alarm limitations

Waiki is a wake-up aid, not a safety-critical or emergency alert system. We do not guarantee that an alarm will sound or wake you under every condition. Delivery may be affected by device power, volume, permissions, operating-system behavior, hardware, connectivity, or other circumstances outside our control.

Do not rely on Waiki as your only alert where missing an alarm could cause injury, loss, or an emergency.

4. Photo missions and camera use

Photo missions require camera access and an internet connection for verification. Submitted images are processed by our backend and Google’s Gemini API to determine whether the mission requirements are met. Automated verification may occasionally be unavailable or incorrect. See our Privacy Policy for how photos are handled.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Waiki may offer optional auto-renewing subscriptions for premium features, including additional or unlimited wake-up missions. Available plans, prices, trial terms, and limits are displayed in the app before purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • Refund requests are handled by Apple and remain subject to Apple’s policies.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Waiki, violate applicable law, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, evade usage limits or mission requirements through technical means, reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits it, or use the service to infringe another person’s rights.

7. Intellectual property

Waiki and its software, design, text, graphics, branding, and other content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership rights to you.

8. Availability and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect Waiki, our users, or third parties. You may stop using the app at any time. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waiki is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Waiki.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to julia.artvision@gmail.com.
